About Us My name is Lisa Townsend; I am a licensed California Private Investigator who specializes in adoption searching. For over 10 years, I have been reuniting adoptees, birth mothers, siblings, birth fathers, and anyone who has been separated by adoption. In 1996, I began my own search and reunited with my younger half sister who was placed for adoption at birth. Since my personal search and reunion, I have reunited over 1,100 other families separated through adoption and relinquishment. “My belief is that everyone has the right to know who their birth family is.” Each adoption search is unique. In most adoption search cases, I can complete a search within a few days; some take a few weeks, and some others a few months.
